What is CoHSTAR?

CoHSTAR is a multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary Center dedicated to advancing health services and health policy research capacity in physical therapy. In only one year, CoHSTAR has managed to accomplish a great deal and is already seeing interest. CoHSTAR Summer Institute a success!

CoHSTAR recently held its first Summer Institute at Boston University.

The Summer Institute began with an evening reception, a poster session and a keynote address by Pamela Duncan, PT, PhD, FAPTA. The following day, 16 leading researchers presented successful models for conducting physical therapy health services research and described specific research projects.

CoHSTAR at CSM 2016

Announcing Faculty and Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunities

The CoHSTAR Fellowship programs provide up to two years of funding to support doctorally trained physical therapist researchers seeking to advance their skills in health services research. The goal of the fellowship programs is to create a cadre of physical therapists who are independent health services researchers.

Fellows will be paired with a CoHSTAR site and faculty mentor and will engage in activities designed to promote a career as a successful health services researcher.
